Well the Valley has been socked in for 3 days now as we have inversion conditions meaning that it is 37 degrees and foggy/misty at our house and about 65 degrees up in the mountains. Julia and I were getting pretty sick of it and decided to head up to Big Mountain and get some sun. We check out a 14,000 square foot monstrosity of a house that Julia's Grandpa is wiring up on the Mountain and the walked over to the new Superpipe construction to check that out. It is quite a massive undertaking with all kinds of earth being moved. This evening we carved some pumpkins and that is about it.

Busy fall weekend for the Martins. Jenny is taking a Digital Photography class some some of the following photos are to her credit. The weather finally broke so we took advantage of the sun. Saturday, Julia made her first trip to the Pumpkin Patch. She was pretty thilled with all the animals and kids running around. Then Sunday we headed up to Glacier with some friends. The road was closed at the loop so we took the Loop trail from there and headed up towards Granite Park Chalet. We had pretty amazing weather. All of the fall colors were out and the mountains had clouds drifting in and out of them so by late afternoon there was some nice Alpenglow. Julia was pretty excited about riding in the backpack and she was enthralled with the challenge of running up and down the trail when we let her out.

Update on construction of the Big Mountain super pipe from the local paper The Daily Interlake.

Supposedly the pipe and new park will all be under lights too. 'Bout time.
