Slew of baby photos coming up.

First off Julia got all dressed up this week and went to go see Santa, it was pretty hilarious. She held it together long enough to crack a little smile and then gradually got more and more sketched out by Santa. We couldn't help taking another picture of her in front of the tree. Yes, we are those kind of parents now.

Saturday I went up to Beehive Basin in search of snow and fortunately we found quite a stash. We set a bootpack in and got three solidly good runs. It was super fun Was officially "Best Turns of the Season." Super good considering it was about 55 degrees and sunny all weekend in Bozeman and there is about 8 inches in the mountains around town. No photos, we were strictly shredding that day. So today Jenny, Julia, Emily and I headed up to Beehive again to just tool around in the snow and make a couple mellow turns. We finally got Julia some baby goggles so no more worries about baby snow blindness. She wasn't too stoked on them though. The snow was pretty much marshmallow consistency so it wasn't quite as good as Saturday, but still fun to get out. Now it's off to work and then a big break for Christmas.

Oh yeah, one last picture of Julia enjoying her first meal of peas.

We had a pretty eventful weekend and got out and enjoyed being outside a bit with the baby. Saturday we went out to the Fairy Lake Area to hunt for a Christmas tree in a little less snow than expected. We always turn it into a bit bigger ordeal than it needs to be but it is always an adventure. Julia came along in the backpack and got a kick out of tromping around in the snow. Sunday Jenny and I packed Julia up again and threw her in the backpack and skied up Beehive Basin down in Big Sky. The weather was perfect and there was tons of snow up there. Probably the best skiing in MT right now. and Jenny tried out her first couple of Telemark turns on a mellow slope. The thought never crossed my mind but it was so bright out we had to figure out how to cover up Julia's eyes. We threw on some goggles as a temporary solution. Next mission is to find some baby gogs or sunnies.

In other news I got news that I am riding in the 21st Annual Mount Baker Legendary Banked Slalom and I am stoked. Unfortunately not too many other MT people made the cut in the lottery so far.
