We just got back from Kalispell for Thankgiving and of course we have some new pictures to post. The holiday was good and relaxing. Julia and Jenny spent the whole week up in the Flathead before Thanksgiving and she perfected rolling over and became a lot more busy. She got a new walker from her Grandparents which pretty much fascinated her for a whole afternoon. After Thankgiving we had some friends that we worked with in Ecuador come down for a visit from Calgary. There was a lack of skiable snow and dry ground so we decided to go on a short hike up in the Jewel Basin area and we found a little bit of snow up there. We borrowed a backpack and brought Julia along and she got to try out all of her winter clothes. She pretty much slept the whole way up giggled about halfway down and then had a breakdown after that. On our way to the car we discovered that the breakdown was partially due to the fact that she was getting her first tooth! Check out the pictures and enjoy.

In Search of Snow

I was determined to get some snowboarding in this weekend and we were about to make a one day marathon trip down to Teton Pass, Wyoming until we heard the snow had gone bad with all the sun and warm weather. We scratched that idea and went to Cooke City, Montana. I have never been there with so little snow. It was still skiable but the rocky factor made everything pretty hazardous. The weather was amazing with bluebird skies and just a bit below freezing. It was good just to get up there and get a couple turns in this early when there isn't snow anywhere else.

Thanks Gina, for hooking Julia up with the sweet CBGB shirt. She'll keep it real.

It's been a long time since I posted anything, so here goes. The first picture is a little dated but it is of Julia all dolled up for her dad's birthday. Next, Julia, again, crawling/drooling around on the floor. Then last weekend we went out to Chico Hot Springs with the Russell Grandparents and Julia got her first little taste of swimming and thoroughly enjoyed herself. Take note of the stylish swimwear.

Other than that we are just waiting for the snow to fall here in Bozeman. We had a good start but after a weekend of summerlike 60 degree plus weather (nothing to complain about) and no precipitation in the forcast the outlook for good snow is not so good.
