Currently rocking Little Ethnic Song from the album "Guitarrorists" by J Mascis
So lots of stuff to talk about. First off we hooked up with a new digital camera for Christmas so we might see a little more updates on this site.
My small Christmas break was really good. Got some good family time in then Friday we went up to Shields Mountain in Glacier National Park to get some riding in. Pretty sweet mountain. Right off the highway really. After some heavy duty bushwacking we finally found the ridge and got into some more open terrain. This mountain is pretty sweet because it has some wide open bowls and looks like it has some fun drops and stuff then drops down into some perfectly gladed trees then later we rode a little creek gully out and ended out on top of the roofs that cover the train tracks to prevent them from getting buried in Avalanches.
After that we headed over to our family's cabin outside of Libby, MT stayed there for the night and went to Turner Mountain. Which may be one of my new favorite mountains. Volunteer run, open 3 days a week. BARELY any grooming. Steep the whole way down. Tons of Vertical. Plus you just pull your car up the lift open your tailgate, pull out the lawnchair and have a beer or visit the lodge (more like a shack) and get a $2.00 burger. Pretty sweet.
Drove down to Bozeman to get back to work and arrived to find out that it had just puked snow here. Bridger has received like 100 inches now since Christmas, got my truck stuck parking in front of the house and cars are just buried all around town. Now it is totally bluebird today and I am just sitting here at work (hardly working) the only one in the office.
