The weather in the Flathead has been absolutely incredible lately. All week temps have been right about 90 degrees. Midsummer style. Julia has been eating it up. The swimming pool is now a permanent fixture in our backyard. She spends hours every day playing in it while Benjamin and Jenny watch from the side.
Ben seems to be doing a little better lately. He has been pretty colicky but the last couple days we have seen some improvement and we can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
We had a good mother's day last Sunday. Julia and I were up early and decided to break out the clippers and trim up my hair and do a clipper mishap pretty much all my hair ended up having to come off. We met up with the Russells and headed up to Glacier park for Mother's day. Due to the unusually cooperative weather the rest of the valley had the same plan. There was a huge line to get into the park and we were afraid it was going to be really crowded because this early in the season there really aren't that many places to go. We went to the Fish Creek campground on the east side of Lake McDonald and it was surprisingly uncrowded. The Lake was completely calm and the temps were nice. We set up on the beach and ate some lunch and just hung out. Julia was completely impressed with the lake and all the boats and spent a lot of time throwing rocks into the water. Later we loaded up into the bike trailer and went for a ride, then headed back into town, stopped at A&W for some Root beer floats and called it a day.
